Metro Imaging is delighted to continue it’s long term partnership with the Lisa Pritchard Agency and support the LPA Futures for another season of awards.
LPA Futures is a unique initiative set up by well known photographers agent Lisa Pritchard Agency (LPA). Now in it’s 12th year, the programme kick starts the careers of emerging commercial photography talent and raises their profiles in this competitive industry.
‘I initially set up LPA Futures in 2007 as a division of my agency to simply represent up and coming photography talent’ says Lisa, owner and founder of LPA. ‘I thought a small group of 5 photographers would be a good number and sourced the first roster from assistants and also scouted around the relevant ‘ones to watch’ awards and the like. It wasn’t a fairly laborious process finding new talent this way however – so I came up with the idea of turning it into an actual competition, and formalising it as structured 2 year programme with other judges, partners, other prizes and a big launch night!’
Since these early beginnings LPA Futures has developed into one of the industries most popular competitions for new photography blood and also an invaluable resource for commissioners wanting to work with new talent but with the support and safety net of an established agent.
For the past six years Metro has supported the LPA Futures with production of the winners works’ exhibition as part for the awards night, digital c-type prints mounted to foamex. With additional support on portfolio print production for the LPA Futures’ winners.
The whole team at LPA will also be there on hand for all the five winners, to advise and support with them in every aspect of being a professional, commercial photographer for the next two years.
Winners of LPA Futures 2019/21 will be announced later this week after the launch night on June 5th, watch this space!
