Free Range Awards x Metro Imaging 2019 – Winners Announcement

We’re proud partners of Free Range Shows at The Truman Brewery for another year and their annual photography graduate awards.

After two weeks of top quality photography degree shows, a panel of expert judges, including Metro Imaging’s Creative Director and Marketing and Partnership Manager, accomplish the tough task of choosing the best works, and the two lucky talented students who’ll get the chance to exhibit their own solo show in 2020 with full support from Metro Imaging lab and team.

Free Range Shows has been inspiring as always, and now it’s the time to announce the winners!

The Week 1 Metro Mentorship Award goes to Middlesex University student, Jennifer Forward-Hayter, and her winning project ‘People Buy People’; and the two Week 1 Portfolio Prize Winners this year are Jasmine Bruno, from University of the West of England – Bristol, with the project ‘To Catch a Thief’, & Kíra Krász, from the University of Brighton, with her final project, ‘Thought after Taught’.

Continuing with Week 2, the Metro Mentorship prize is awarded to Angela Blažanović, student from The Cass, with the project on show ‘Fragments Of A River’; and the Week 2 Metro Portfolio Prizes are awarded to runners up Diana Sosnowska, University of Edinburgh student, and her project ‘Mother at Merther Lane’, & Nicola Simpson, from Plymouth College of Art, and her project ‘Another Weeping Woman’.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all the brilliant young photographers who took part in the Free Range Degree Shows this summer!

We are very excited and lucky to be working with such incredible artists in preparation for their solo shows next year and developing their practice further.
