HI-NOON x Metro Imaging – Inaugural Exhibition Arles 2019
03.06.2019
“The name HI-NOON evokes a time, a place and an urgency, coupled with flamboyance and extravagance. HI-NOON is a time for reckoning, but most of all, it is a welcome.”
We are excited to announce our new partnership with photographic collective HI-NOON, launching at this years Les Rencontres d’Arles.
HI-NOON is a new online platform selling a curated set of limited-edition prints by leading and emerging photographic artists. Founders Rut Blees Luxemburg and Sophy Rickett have drawn upon their extensive experience as artists, educators in photography and writers to select the works to be celebrated on this new platform.
Launching at a special event at Les Rencontres des Arles on July 4th, 2019, the collection will be available to purchase, individually, or as a set, through the website. The first release of prints represents a diverse group of practitioners selected for their spirit of experimentation, conceptual clarity, and the joy and visual pleasure of contemporary photographic practice. HI-NOON will present, amongst others the work of Jenevieve Aken, artist and designer based in Lagos; Yushi Li, emerging Chinese artist recently graduated from the Royal College of Art; musician and artist Alison Goldfrapp, and Chooc Ly Tan, DJ, artist and activist.
The collective is an ongoing venture, launched in the spirit of openness and optimism, with the aim of establishing and maintaining long term partnerships with HI-NOON artists, collectors and suppliers, based on trusted knowledge and experience, conviviality, support, and of course, fun.
Metro Imaging is delighted to be the official Archival Printing and Framing Partner of this innovative new platform supporting and co-operating with thriving artistic communities around the world.
Follow the collective on Instagram or check out their website for more info.
